I need to connect my device to MobiControl

Problem

My device is not connecting to MobiControl even though it is powered on and connected to a network.

The device's connection to our MobiControl servers depends on an active connection through the SOTI MobiControl app. You can still have working internet on the device even when it's disconnected from MobiControl, but if there is no internet on the device, you cannot connect to MobiControl.

Solution

  1. Unlock the device: I want to unlock a device.

  2. Make sure the device has internet access.

  3. Open the SOTI MobiControl app.

  4. Under the Device tab, check the Agent Status. It should say 'Connected', but since you are reading this article, it might say 'Disconnected'.

  5. If the status is 'Disconnected', tap the Agent Status once. The status should change to 'Connected', which means the device has successfully reconnected.
