Mobile WMS Device Connection Guide - Trial Version of Mobile WMS

• After Mobile WMS is installed, just follow the guide to create an endpoint for the mobile device.
• This makes installation and mobile device connection easier.

Group Order Lines

• Toggle order lines to ungroup or group lines of similarities specified by parameter.

Pinnable Values

• On Order Lines, scanning a barcode that matches a pinnable value, results the scanned value to be automatically applied to all order lines throughout registration.
• Prevents unnecessarily repeated scans during registrations. speeding up registrations overall.

Manufacturing Execution

• Manufacturing Execution in Dynamics AX/365FO, previous called Shop Floor Control, is supported from Mobile WMS. When you release jobs in relation to your production orders, you can make registrations to capture your time usage on an operation.

• Besides production jobs in Manufacturing Execution, you can make registrations in:

  • Indirect Activities
  • Project Jobs
  • Clock-In/Clock-Out
  • Take a Break

Document Queue

• Working with responses and answers from the document queue, it is sometimes required to use the XML result in an XML viewer. Select all XML information and copy it, but a typical error occurs because it was not the complete XML result that was copied. This part is made easier. Just click the button to get the XML file.

• Follow-up work is made easier by jumping directly to the referenced post from the document queue.

 Unplanned Cart Move

• From the mobile device you will be able to move multiple items at the same time using a cart.
• You just scan items to your cart and when you want to unload, you can unload all or you drop off items in multiple locations.

• Additional bugs have been fixed.

• • Using the main menu Unplanned Move is not sending the scanned value from the barcode for dimension Size into the request. 

  • Location validation failed on license plates. When checking the input value (Bin = license plate number) up against locations table then this fails.

  • Count - Add count line, when scanning an item number, it fails. Now both inputs (scanning and manual) work.

• Code – Macro’s are removed

• • Macro works, but during installation too often we have experienced errors caused by macro’s not importing as expected.

• Barcode Quantity

• • Barcode Quantity - parameter to use barcode quantity in order lists

Document Parameters 

• You can customize the registration flow for production orders, quarantine orders and barcode registration. This means you can simplify the registrations on the mobile device and thus make registrations even faster and less prone to errors because you don't have to focus on steps that are redundant.
• E.g., make 2 barcode registrations. All steps required is item number + barcode type + barcode + unit + quantity. This can be reduced to item number + barcode. 

Filters

• On the pages receive orders and pick orders we have now made it available to customize the filters from within the client. No extra coding is required. 

Page Creator

• It is now possible to make configural changes on pages from the client. You get easier access to learn more about your possibilities in configuration of pages.

• Additional bugs have been fixed.
• • Display override - when deleting the header, the lines was not removed.
  • Production order quantity - remaining quantity was 0 but would stil show in the list. 
  • License Plate number changed to 20 characters.

Item Image Collector

• It is possible to take an image of a stock item, and attach it as the primary Item Image used in Dynamics 365FO. 

Attach Image From Context Menu

• It is possible to attach an image to any data displayed on the mobile device, be it orders or order lines.
• Using the camera on the mobile device you can capture an image and attach it to the related content.

WildCard (*) In Lookup Filters

• Making it easier to search when using the menus “Location Content” and “Locate Item”.

Posting Flow Editor

• You can now set up extra steps to the posting process on the mobile device.
• For example, during posting of a product receipt you require additional information to be collected and archived on the product receipt journal.

Transfer Order – Over/Underdelivery

• When picking for a transfer order the standard parameter for over- and underdelivery is used.

Create Quarantine Order

• It is now possible to create a quarantine order from the mobile device. This is a powerful tool to have on your mobile device. F.x. you discover a defect emballage that might require repacking of the goods. Then you simply use the 'Locate Item' menu from the mobile device and create the quarantine order based on your known data. 

Translations

• With Mobile WMS you get support for many languages. If you are in need to change these labels we have made it easier. From within the AX/365 you can easily make the translation and it will update on the mobile device nicely. 

Online Validation during Pick

• During picking process you have the option to use online validation. F.x. if you pick a batch controlled item then it could be effective to have feedback immediately.
