Planned Move or Transfer Journal

Available in Mobile WMS from version 3.12 for Dynamics AX/D365FO

In Mobile WMS you can execute planned transfers as 1-step postings.  

When you want to move items from one warehouse to another, then you have two options in AX/D365FO. 

• Transfer orders
• Transfer journals

In Mobile WMS we consider these two options as either 1-step or 2-step processes. 

2-Step Process - Transfer Order

Transfer orders are a 2-step registration process.

• Step number one picks the items.
• Step number two receives them.

Posting according to the From + To registrations.

1-Step Process - Transfer Journal

Transfer journals are a 1-step registration process.

• Step number one picks the items. 

Posting according to the From registrations. 

Receipt dimensions are according to the transfer journal line.

How to enable planned transfer journals? 

Path: Inventory Management/Setup/Inventory Breakdown/Sites

Check the "Use transfer journals for movements within site".

Path: Inventory Management/Setup/Inventory Breakdown/Warehouses

Check "Refilling" and choose a main warehouse to supply this warehouse. 

Planned Move in Mobile WMS

Once you have planned transfer journals you can firm these. 

Once it is firmed the planned transfer is converted to a transfer journal. 

The transfer journal is available on the mobile device. 

The registration process is similar to other picking processes.
