Workflows

Available in Mobile WMS for Dynamics AX/365FO version 3.14

Workflows are the various steps during a registration and you can make vast number of setups here. 

From the 'Pages' menu in Mobile WMS you can see the workflow of a planned registration, e.g. purchase order.

On the above figure you have 4 groupings. 

• Steps - the required steps a mobile device user should be asked to make a registration
• Online Validation - setup the service to handle validations
• Visual Flow - a visual presentation of the workflow
• XML - a representation of the XML being sent to the mobile device

Steps

The dimensions and quantity are called steps in workflows. Each step can be setup individually.

Notice that ‘Ean Ai’ inherits values from the page ‘GS1 AI Setup’ and when changes happen here it will be visible in the workflow. But you can override these values per step. This is important to note.

Online validation

Typically used in picking scenarios and is a part of standard Mobil WMS setup. Online validation requires network access, so offline scenarios cannot benefit this feature.

Visual Flow and XML

The workflow will be step by step asking for registrations and the visual flow can help see the sequence on the device.

The XML is the result of the setup and can give you more insight into what is sent to the mobile device.
