Document Queue

Available in Mobile WMS for Dynamics AX/365FO


When the mobile device is communicating with Dynamics AX/365FO a XML document is sent to the system. The document contain the required information for that process. In the document queue you can find all communications from and to the mobile device.

In this section we are taking a deep dive into the content of the Dynamics AX/365FO menu "Document Queue".

Overview

Below you can see a screenshot of the document queue from a Dynamics 365FO environment. Marked in red you find actions you can run and marked in orange is the filtering options you can use for easy navigation in the list. 



Actions

Refresh - simply just refreshes the list.

Process - If a request from the device has failed, you can choose to process the request directly from the document queue and not from the mobile device. Please read more in details below.

Clean up queue - Over time the document queue gets many records and you might want to reduce the numbers of records for an easier navigation.

Reset status -  If a request has ended in status "processing", then you can click "Reset status" to change the status to "Ready for processing" and subsequently process the request again.

You can run the clean up in a batch process, so you avoid to accumulate all communication that had happend and is not important to keep.  


General

More information about the message, e.g. message ID, created and answered date & time. 

Request

This is the request XML that specifies details about the request from the device. The information contained here varies depending on the type of request you are doing.


Answer / Result

This is the answer XML that is sent from Dynamics AX/365FO.

Once the request has been processed, then the answer is returned to the mobile device.
