Transfer Orders - Pick (AX/FO)

Transfer Orders

Applies to Mobile WMS setup: Pick / “Show transfer”

The Mobile WMS application can be used to register the picking of items using the transfer order.

Transfer orders are used to move items from one warehouse to another. The process flow is as follows:

  1. Create the transfer order in Dynamics AX/365FO
    1. Optional make a picklist registration from the transfer order
  2. Pick and ship the items from the sending warehouse
  3. Receive the items in the receiving warehouse

The Mobile WMS application supports both the sending (picking) and receiving processes of a transfer order.

This section describes the (1) create and (2) picking flows above and the (3) receive flow will be described on page ##GL.

A transfer order has been created. You can directly start picking or you can generate a picking list.

On the lines after you have picked the full quantity the issue status is 'Picked'.

The transfer order need to be shipped to change status to 'Shipped'. You can update per the 'Picked quantity'.

Now the status of the transfer order is 'Shipped' and the items will be in transit warehouse until it has been received.

Overdelivery/Underdelivery

On your transfer order you first start picking the items. If you set the parameters in Inventory and Warehouse Management parameters to accept over- and underdelivery, you can on the mobile device deviate from the requested quantity.

The percentage allowed is setup on the released products. See on below image marked in red. The settings are automatically inherited on the transfer order and can be manually changed if needed.

In Mobile WMS

When a transfer order has been created it is available on the mobile device, given that the parameters are set to yes for transfer orders.

Picking a transfer order is very much similar to picking on a sales order or picking list.
