This guide will explain how to enroll your device(s) using the QR code provided by Tasklet Factory.
There are three steps to follow:
Factory resetting the device.
Enrolling the device using the QR code.
License and finalize the installation.
Before using the QR code, the device must be factory reset to be ready for enrollment.
To factory reset the device, follow the steps below.
If you have a Zebra device without an option to factory reset, you can follow these steps instead:
If the barcode above does not start the factory reset process on your Zebra device, please find the appropriate barcode on Zebra’s website here and use that instead: https://supportcommunity.zebra.com/s/article/Performing-a-factory-reset?language=en_US |
Open Settings.
Go to System.
Go to Reset options (it might be necessary to tap Advanced first).
Select Erase all data (factory reset) - it is important not to select the “enterprise reset” option.
Select Erase all data and confirm.
The device will now be factory reset and restarted. This process can take a few minutes.
When it has restarted, the device is ready for the next step.
You must factory reset the device before trying to enroll it. |
After the device has been factory reset and rebooted, you should be presented with the default Android welcome screen.
Select Start or Continue.
On the next screen, scan the QR Code. The enrollment process should start.
If you’re on the screen saying “Hi there” and cannot scan, tap the text 5 times. This will open a scanner that you can use to scan the QR code and continue. ![]()

Connect to your Wi-Fi network if prompted.
On the following few screens, press Next, and then Accept and continue.
The device is now enrolled.
Before the device can be used, it must be licensed and the Mobile WMS app installed.
Licensing:
If the device was licensed before it was factory reset, it will automatically download the license file again.
If the device is new, please raise a ticket at our service desk to have the device licensed.
Installing Mobile WMS
After enrolling the device, it is placed in the New Devices folder in MobiControl. However, the Mobile WMS app is not automatically installed in this folder, so the device needs to be moved to a Test or Production folder instead: How to move devices between folders in MobiControl
When the device has been licensed and the Mobile WMS app has been installed, it is ready to use.
