Printing hangs as Processing in Mobile Document Queue
Problem
This behavior can be caused by a print dialog, i.e. Save-as PDF, when attempting to print a Report from mobile, on an On-Prem installation.
Background
When a dialog like this is triggered, the WebService handling SOAP communication from Mobile, will hang without any error message.
Solution
Check the Windows "Event log" for errors with the correct error description.
Thing to check and correct
- Does the NAV/BC "Printer Selection" points to the correct printer?
- Does the Service Tier User account has that printer installed in Windows "Printers"?
- Log into the server with the Service Tier user and install that printer
- Is the Default Printer on the server a PDF-printer or similar?
- The printer must not display and dialogs like Save-As
