Locate Item
In Dynamics AX/365FO you can see where an item is stored by looking up the on-hand quantities for a specific item.
This can also be performed from the mobile device. Using the scanner, Bar codes and GTIN codes defined on the product page, can be used instead of the item number.

How to use locate Item:
- Select “Locate item” from the Main Menu on the mobile device.
- You select the appropriate warehouse and scans/types the item/barcode/GTIN-code of an item.
- The mobile device contacts Dynamics AX/365FO to determine where this item is located, and returns a list for the user.
Wildcards in the lookup:
As of version 3.6 of the Mobile WMS for Dynamics AX/365FO it is possible to use a wildcard character (*) in the lookup of item.

Omit Dimensions from lookup
Available in Mobile WMS for Dynamics AX/365FO version 3.15.2 or newer
You can setup specific dimensions to be omittied from the aggregated inventory lookup. E.g. your inventory lookup of an item with serial numbers, can be simplified by omitting the serial dimension.

Refreshes data from Dynamics AX/365FO.
Unplanned move
You can make an unplanned move based on the selected values from the list. However, you will go through the standard workflow when moving an item.
Create quarantine order
You will be able to create a quarantine order based on the selected values from the list. This enables you to do operations faster when having the mobile device.
Once you start creating a new quarantine order all the known information from the located item, such as warehouse placement and product dimensions (Color, size etc.) are transferred automatically.
