Older Zebra printer uses different non-standard port number
Problem
The printer i.e. (model GK420D) returns an error to the Mobile device e.g.:
Print problem: Could not connect to device: Failed to connect to /192.168.0.10 (port 6101) from /192.168.172.77 (port 35810) after 15000ms: isConnected failed: ECONNREFUSED (Connection refused)
Solution
The printer is using another network port that the standard 6101 which is the default for newer models.
You should also make sure handheld can communicate with the printer.
In order to confirm that you can do the following test
- Connect a Laptop computer, to the SAME Wi-Fi-network as the Mobile device
- Open Command Prompt
- Telnet to printer IP address + Port number i.e. 10.10.10.20:6101
If you get a reply, you can check if the handheld can communicate with the printer.
If not, then you have to configure the printer correctly.
