Background Information

For many years, Tasklet Factory has in many years only been using one server for device management, namely: https://mobi.taskletfactory.com/MobiControl/

However, as we are meeting new requirements from Android 10, which does do not fit well with legacy devices such as Windows Mobile, we needed to create a new MobiControl Server to handle that part.

Most of the new implementations are done on the new server, which is located at https://mob2.taskletfactory.com/MobiControl/ and even some "old" customers needs need to be moved to the new server if they buy Android 10+ devices.

Please keep in mind that moving devices running Android 6 (or lower) is known to cause issues and is not recommended. 

The Two Servers

• The OLD MobiControl has the following URL:  https://mobi.taskletfactory.com/MobiControl/
• The NEW  MobiControl  MobiControl server has the following URL: https://mob2.taskletfactory.com/MobiControl/

If you for some of the above reasons needs need to move devices from the old server to the new server , you simple have do for any of the above reasons, simply perform the steps below.

It does obviously require requires that Tasklet Factory have done the preparation together prepare with you , such so that the devices are operational the instance that they are when moved.

At least you will need a new Enrollment Id ID for the new customer setup, that which Tasklet Factory have has prepared on the new server for the customer.

Un-enroll Device from Old Existing Server

1. First, you need to Unlock the Device, see  (https://docs.taskletfactory.com/x/GoFPAg )You then afterwards need to unlock the device: I want to unlock a device
2. Afterward, you must Long-Press on the scanner (where the arrow is pointingpoints) with your finger for 2-4 seconds.

3. A pop-up will ask if you want to unenroll. Press "Unenroll":

Enroll Device to New Server

4. Type in the new Enrollment enrollment ID on the Un-enrolled devicethe now unenrolled device

Move the Device out of New Devices 

Once the scanner is enrolled, it will be placed in the New Devices in MobiControl on the new server.
Here, the app will not be installed, so you must move the device to either the Production or Test folder. Please see this article for how to move the device: How to move devices between folders in MobiControl
