Problem
My device is not connected to MobiControl even though it is on the WIFI networkisn't connecting to MobiControl despite being connected to a network.
Solution
- Unlock the deviceSee : I want to unlock a device
- Make sure that it the device has Internet internet access, e.g for example, it can browse a web page.
- Open the "SOTI MobiControl"- app
- Go to the "Device Configuration" page (can be found in the upper right menu)
- "Agent Status" should be "Connected" - Check the Agent Status. It should be 'Connected', but since you are reading this article, it might be "Disconnected"
Click on the "Agent Status" label - this will trigger the device to connect - The Agent Status should change to "Connecting" or "Connected" If "Connected": All is good
If the status is 'Disconnected', tap once on the Agent Status. The status should change to 'Connected', which means the device has successfully reconnected.
Info If the device is stuck on 'Connecting' please verify the network prerequisites:
- Firewall port 5494 must be opened for outbound connections
- Mobicontrol Server has the IP address 40.68.196.181 and hostname ds1.mobi.taskletfactory.com and ds1.mob2.taskletfactory.com + 40.114.220.164 port 5494.
If it is stuck "connecting", please verify these 'Disconnected'.
