Unplanned Move
Description
Unplanned Move is the alternative to Planned Movements.
This allows the mobile user to move items without having to plan it in Business Central first.
Note: If you are using License Plating you must use Unplanned Move Advanced instead.
Overview
Step 1 - Select “Unplanned Move”
The “Unplanned Move" function is accessed from the main menu.
Step 2 - Select Location and Scan the Item
Select the Location you are moving From
Select the New location you are moving To
The locations available to the user, correspond to the locations the user has been set up to use on the warehouse employee page in Business Central.
The default location is the first entry in the list.Scan or enter the item number you want to Move
Alternatively, you can search for the item using the online search feature
Step 3 - Scan the From-Bin
Scan or enter the bin code you are moving the items from
Step 4 - Select Unit (optional)
Select the Unit of Measure
Note: Unit of Measure step is only used when:
"Unit of Measure" could not be derived from the item/barcode
The "Use Base Unit of Measure"-setting is False
Step 5 - Enter the Quantity
Enter the quantity to move
Step 6 - Scan the To-Bin
Scan or enter the bin code where the item is placed into
Post the registration
The movement has now been registered in Business Central.
Using the “Show available quantity on Unplanned Move” setting
On Mobile WMS Setup (9/10) this setting is available.
It changes to things:
Add an “information step” that shows the Quantity available to move
Move the "From Bin" -field from Steps to the Header at mobile device
Important: Mobile Users must log out and in again for changes to take effect
Note:
Unplanned Move can only be performed while the mobile device is online
The steps needed to complete the unplanned move can easily be modified by your partner. An example of this is, if the item to move is Lot or serial number tracked then the user must also register the Lot or serial number that is moved. This is standard functionality
The update of Business Central depends on the configuration of the location and the Mobile WMS setup. No setup is required when used on a location that does not use "Directed Put-away and Pick
