How to fix the configuration on a Device

This page outlines a simple process for restoring your base configuration on a device. This usually fixes the “Missing Start Configuration” error.

The steps are the following:

  1. Login to MobiControl

  2. Locate your devices that have the issue and note the current folder they are in since this folder is needed in step 4

  3. Drag the devices from the current location that they are in and into the folder called New Devices and leave it there for 30 seconds

  4. Click on the New Devices folder, mark the device(s), and move them back to the folder they came from

  5. The devices will reboot and load the default configuration
