Introduction to License Plates
A License Plate groups multiple items together, allowing them to be treated as a unit.
When a License Plate is created with content, it must be treated like a sealed entity to benefit from the different WMS processes with License Plate support.
Identified by a single barcode on License Plate labels
It can contain other license plates and their items, forming a hierarchical tree structure
Supports both single or mixed Items with or without Item tracking specified.
Contents can be altered using the appropriate Mobile WMS functions
Commonly used containers
Boxes and pallets are common, but any container can be used, as long as it can have a label on it.
Supported functionality
Move License Plates (Unplanned Move Advanced)
License Plates are identified by barcode labels
License plates should always be handled by scanning License Plate labels.
These labels are to be physically placed on the containers used as license plates.
The barcode is represented with GS1 AI “98”
GS1 AI “00” (SSCC) is also accepted when scanning license plates
