Locate Item
Description
Allows the mobile user to look up all bins, where an item is stored.
Locate Item
- The feature is activated by selecting the "Locate Item" menu item on the main menu.
- Select the Location you are in
Note: The locations available to the user, correspond to the locations the user has been set up to use on the warehouse employee page in Business Central.
The default location is the first entry in the list. - Scans or enter the Item number
Alternatively, you can search for the item using the online search feature
- Perform the search
Business Central returns all the bins that match the entered criteria
Note:
The returned quantity is displayed as:
<Available Quantity> / <Physical Quantity>
If <Physical Quantity> is higher than <Available Quantity> it means the item is partly reserved for other outbound operations and not fully available.
How "Available Quantity" is calculated
This value comes from the field "Available Qty. to Take" on page “Bin Contents".
- Go to “Item card"
- Go to “Bin Contents”
- Select "Personalise" and "Add field"
- "Available Qty. to Take" (Tooltip: Specifies the quantity of the item that is available in the bin.)
If you also want to see the base for the calculation you can add these fields too:
- "Quantity (Base)"
- "ATO Components Pick Qty (Base)"
- "Negative Adjmt. Qty. (Base)"
- "Pick Quantity (Base)"
The last three fields are subtracted from “Quantity (Base)” to determine the value of "Available Qty. to Take".
