A quantity

• An alternative to Quantity Step or Decimal Step which are typically used for collecting quantity

Flow

QuantityByScan targets the use case where the user is asked to scan each item to register/verify the quantity.

• It simply increments the quantity by 1 when an item is scanned and, when applied, accepted by the validation restrictions imposed.
• The step can be configured to only accept a specific list of values, e.g. Item Reference or Serial numbers
  • Use the validationValues property. Otherwise every value will be accepted.

Notes

• This step is not commonly used as you can achieve the functionality with Register Quantity By Scan
• Do not confuse with Register Quantity By Scan which allows for a barcode to represent a certain quantity when scanned
