When you are trying to remote control a device and the device screen does only show the Waiting for Screen, see below.
This can be fixed by following the steps below the picture.
Step-by-step guide
- Right Click on the device in MobiControl
- Select Send → Script
- A Script Window will be shown
- In the Dropdown choose Option: Waiting for Screen Fix
- Click OK
- The device will turn black and then re-connect and then you should be able to remote control
