Solution

Business Central (NAV)

  • The port number used by SOAP Web Service of the NAV server tier, should be open for the network used by the scanner.

This is the only requirement

MobiControl - For Remote control

  1. WiFi Internet connection

    1. Test: Are you able to open a website using the browser on the scanner?

      1. Not a 100% guarantee as port 80/Internet may be blocked

  2. Firewall 

    1. Customer MobiControl: Port TCP 5494 must be open for outbound connection (IP address:   Firewall port 5494 must be opened for outbound connections for MobiControl to work. The Mobicontrol Server has the IP address 40.68.196.181 ) + and hostname ds1.mobi.taskletfactory.com and ds1.mob2.taskletfactory.com and ds2.mob2.taskletfactory.com + 40.114.220.164 and 13.95.171.202 port 5494.

    2. Partner MobiControlPort TCP 5494 must be open for outbound connection (IP address: 13.81.28.131 + ds1.partnermobi.taskletfactory.com 

    3. the MTU size needs to be set to 1,500 bytes
  3. As the connection is HTTPS, a certificate is in play. The date on mobile device must not be to far off the current date - or else the HTTPS connection will not be allowed.
