MobiControl - For Remote Control

  1. WiFi Internet connection

    1. Test: Can you open a website using the browser on the scanner?

      1. Not a 100% guarantee as port 80/Internet may be blocked

  2. Firewall

    1. Customer MobiControl:  Firewall port 5494 must be opened for outbound connections for MobiControl to work. The Mobicontrol Server has the IP address 40.68.196.181 and hostname ds1.mobi.taskletfactory.com and ds1.mob2.taskletfactory.com and ds2.mob2.taskletfactory.com + 40.114.220.164 and 13.95.171.202 port 5494.

    2. Partner MobiControlPort TCP 5494 must be open for outbound connection (IP address: 13.81.28.131 + ds1.partnermobi.taskletfactory.com

    3. The MTU size needs to be set to 1,500 bytes

  3. As the connection is HTTPS, a certificate is in play. The date on the mobile device must not be too far off the current date - otherwise the HTTPS connection will not be allowed.

If the above is OK, then the mobile device should be able to connect to MobiControl.
