Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Firewall port 5494 must be opened for outbound connections for MobiControl to work. The Mobicontrol Server has the IP address 40.68.196.181 and hostname ds1.mobi.taskletfactory.com and ds1.mob2.taskletfactory.com + 40.114.220.164 port 5494.
If you have trouble enrolling devices, perhaps the firewall has not been opened yet.
You can enroll the scanners using a mobile phone by sharing the phone's internet connection and connecting the scanner to a mobile phone hotspot.
  2. The device is enrolled incorrectly if you haven't used the afw#mobicontrol, as seen on step 6 of Enroll The Scanner In MobiControl.
A factory reset of the device is required, and you need to follow the guide again carefully.
This error can happen if the device has been logged in and the google store is used to download MobiControl.
  3. When a device is enrolled, and you get the message Package not found, then this is because the device is in New Devices and requires a Mobile WMS license to continue.
  4. If you see the message License Invalid, then you need help from the Tasklet Factory support desk: https://jira.taskletfactory.com/servicedesk/customer/portal/2/create/15
When you buy a license, Tasklet applies the license to a device, which we can only do after enrollment.
  5. If you see the error "Enroll on SafetyNet Attestation Failure" when you try to enroll a device, contact Tasklet Factory to solve the issue.
  6. If you enroll an Android 10 device, remember to inform Tasklet Factory as those devices require extra attention.
  7. If you have any issues or questions, you can always open a ticket on the support desk, and we'll assist right away! (smile)
