Description
...
Folders in MobiControl are used to manage and structure devices as a group
...
The Two Servers
...
. Each folder has its own set of configuration files.
In our standard setup, there are always three folders: New Devices, Production, and Test (see Usage of MobiControl Folders), but you might have more folders depending on your setup.
The most common device movement is between the Test and Production folders. Moving a device to a folder will install that folder's specific configuration on the device being moved.
How to move a device

To move a device on Mob2 and Mobi - MobiControl servers, you need to:

Continue holding the mouse key while dragging the devices to the desired folder (Click "move" to continue).
Drag and drop the device(s) to the folder of choice. - If you see this popup, just click a popup message asking if you want to move the device(s), press "Move"
. - The devices are now moved and will install the corresponding configuration files automatically.
The device(s) are now found in the designated target folder (Test on the picture below), updated with that target folder's configurations, and soon ready for use.
