Mobile Users (2/10)
Description
Warehouse users must be Mobile users to gain access
Requirements
User must exist as Business Central users
That task is beyond the scope of this guide, however you can perform that task here:
Cloud: Users are maintained in Azure CSP (Cloud Solution Provider) portal (named users).
On-Prem: Users maintained from "Users" page.
For a user to be able to log in
User must belong to a Mobile Group
User must be a "Warehouse Employee" in Business Central
Add user as Mobile User
Step 1 - Add users
Go to "Mobile Users" page
Use the field-lookup to add users as Mobile Users.
Step 2 - Set Language code
“Language Code” can be filled with a user's preferred language, set up in Mobile Language (7/10).
If left empty, English (ENU) will be used as the default.
Step 3 - Add Mobile User to a Mobile Group
Each Mobile User must be in a "Mobile Group".
Use the field-lookup to add Mobile Users to a Mobile Group. See page Mobile Group (4/10).
Step 4 - Set up user as “Warehouse Employee”
Each Mobile User must also be assigned as a "Warehouse Employee" for the locations, that the user should be able to handle.
If no location is selected, the "Location Count" field will show zero and be red.
To add one or multiple Mobile Users to locations:
Select the user(s) you want to add locations to.
Click the action button called "Add Locations to Users".
From the pop-up, select the wanted location(s) and press "ok".
This action does NOT mark or change the primary location to Default.
You can access the Warehouse Employee list for each Mobile User, by clicking the number on the "Location Count" field.
Here you can mark the primary location to Default if needed.
You can also add, delete or modify locations for the specific user.
