Problem

Text is not centered correctly and/or includes multiple blank labels

Solution: Incorrect DPI-setting

Does the text seem much too large/small?

The DPI setting can be incorrect.

  • The image is too large. Raise the DPI setting

  • The image is too small. Lower the DPI setting

To change the setting, go to:

Business Central > "Mobile Print Setup" > "Printers" > "DPI"-field

Solution: Incorrect label media / sensor configuration

If the printer does not read the separation between the labels correctly, multiple blank labels will be printed.

Use branded media

We recommend using Zebra branded media like Z-Perform:

  • Non-Continuous Perforated media has perforations that allow the labels or tags to be separated from each other easily.
  • The media may also have black marks or other separations between labels or tags

For more info see https://supportcommunity.zebra.com/s/article/Identify-type-of-media?language=en_US

See Blank Labels for changing the configuration to use black mark media.

Solution: The printer needs additional adjustments

A printer can be in need of individual adjustments.

Use the Zebra Setup Utilities

This program for windows or as a Mobile app can be used to adjust alignment and margins for the printer.
