Decimal formatting

Changing format for the decimal separator when using the Mobile WMS app can be done by changing the language on the device.

The language setting is made directly on the device settings.

Example

The Customer would like to change the decimal format for ',' →  '.'

View now:

Image Removed → Image Removed

This can be done by changing language on the device.

Problem

Mobile WMS is displaying dates and/or numbers with the wrong formatting according to the user needs.

Mobile WMS will show dates and numbers according to the language setup in Android.

That also means that you will need to go into the Android menus on the device in order to for instance change the date format from YYYY/MM/DD to DD/MM/YYYY.

Solution

To change the language used and thereby adapt the formatting in Mobile WMS, follow the below steps:

1. Unlock the device using the guide: I want to unlock a device
2. Go to Settings Image Removed  from the Menu
3. Select System and Open Settings → System → Languages & Input
4. Add the Language with the right format for the customer, e.g.:Image Removed Make sure that the right language is moved to the 1. selection on the list
5. Go back into MobiControl and Enter User Mode
6. Restart the Mobile WMS from Main Menuthat matches your requirements to formatting
7. Move the Language to the top of the list
8. Re-start the Mobile WMS App
9. Go back to User Mode as outlined in: I want to unlock a device
