This document describes how to install the Tasklet Factory Mobile WMS on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and make the basic configuration to get the solution up and running. |
The installation will take about 30 minutes.

Terminology
Cloud: The SaaS-hosted edition of Business Central Microsoft offers
On-Prem: The locally hosted edition of Business Central
Per-tenant extension: Not upgradeable. You take full ownership of the code (not recommended)

Access to Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Minimum version: 13.5.29483.0
- User license: Essential or Premium

Upgrade Cloud using AppSource
We release new versions as often as once every month.
Updating between "major" versions is optional
Every 6-month Microsoft will release a "major" version of Business Central, also known as "Wave 1" (April) and "Wave 2" (October).
- You can choose to upgrade in between major
- It is highly recommended as we release new features and bug fixes almost every month
Updating on "major" version is forced
When your Business Central tenant is upgraded to a new major version, you will also get the newest version of Mobile WMS.
How to update to newest version
- Log into Business Central
- Go to "Admin Center" by selection the "Gear" icon in upper right hand corner
- Select "Environment" and "Apps"
- You will now see a list of apps and the option to upgrade if a newer version is available
- Select Upgrade

Note:
The following are examples. Your experience may differ.
Step 1 - Download the On-Prem extension
(optional)Here you can download:
- On-Prem extension
- Per-tenant extension with Source code
- Navigate to "Download" > "Guides & Objects – Dynamics 365 Business Central"
- Select platform depending on your BC version and download the latest On-Prem App.
- Unzip and place the .app file on the server at "C:\Temp".
Step 2 - Run PowerShell Commands
Using Business Central Administration Shell, run the following commands.
In this example:
- Server instance is: MicrosoftDynamicsNavServer$BC
- App file path is: C:\Temp\Tasklet Factory_Mobile WMS_5.xxx.xxx.xxx.app
Please update the values to match your installation

Step 3:
Select "Setup & Extensions" > "Extensions". Confirm that the Status is "Installed"
