Highlights

License Plating — Receive Known License Plates on Transfer Orders

Mobile WMS now supports receiving known License Plates on Transfer Orders that were shipped using Pack & Ship. When a transfer order shipment is posted via Pack & Ship, the shipped License Plate is automatically remapped to the inbound warehouse receipt at the transfer-to location. Warehouse staff can then receive the LP directly on the mobile device by scanning it — content and quantities are pulled from the original LP instead of requiring manual re-registration. This speeds up receiving and reduces data-entry errors for transfer orders.

Troubleshooting Improvements

Two new capabilities have been added to the Mobile Document Queue page to streamline developer troubleshooting:

• Request Staging — A new developer tool that holds incoming mobile requests in the Document Queue before they are processed, giving you a reliable window to attach a debugger. Staging can be enabled globally, for a specific user, or for a specific document type. It automatically expires after 15 minutes or after one request has been staged. Staging actions are only available in sandbox environments.

• Performance Profiler — The Performance Profiler can now be activated directly from the Document Queue page, making it easier to enable profiling without navigating to other pages.

Production — Base Unit of Measure in Order Line Details

When the "Use Base Unit of Measure" setting is enabled in Mobile WMS Setup, the order line detail panel on Production Output and Production Consumption pages now correctly converts and displays quantities in the item's base unit of measure. Previously, quantities in the detail panel were always shown in the production order component's unit of measure regardless of the setting.

Media — Smarter Image Re-Fetch

The mobile device now only re-fetches item images when the image itself has actually changed, instead of on any modification to the Item or Item Variant record. This reduces unnecessary image downloads and improves performance.

Extensibility

• New event OnRemoveRegistrationFromLicensePlate_OnBeforeModifyLPContent — Enables updating custom fields on License Plate content records before persistence when content is partially reduced.

• New event OnRegisterNewItemTrackingLinesOnBeforeCannotMatchItemTrackingError — Allows overriding the quantity validation in codeunit "MOB Sync. Item Tracking", enabling scenarios such as overpicking with third-party apps.

• New events OnRegisterImageCapture_OnBeforeMediaQueueInsert and OnPostMedia_OnBeforeHandleMedia — Enables custom handling of image capture and storage, for example redirecting images to custom tables.

• New events OnBeforeGetNextLicensePlateNo and OnAfterGetNextLicensePlateNo — Enables overriding or validating the License Plate number generation, for example to use custom numbering or external systems.

• The OnAddMessages integration event in codeunit "MOB WMS Language" now fires before the global language is restored, so subscribers run in the correct language context without needing to switch language themselves.

Tasklet Setup Center

Mobile WMS introduces a new centralized setup experience in Business Central. The Tasklet Setup Center brings all setup activities together in a single overview with guided wizards, direct links to setup pages, and built-in help articles.

Two guided setup wizards are included in this release:

• User Setup Guide — A step-by-step wizard for configuring a Business Central user for Mobile WMS, including mobile group assignment, warehouse location settings, and default location selection.

• Microsoft Entra ID App Registration Guide — A guided flow for configuring OAuth 2.0 device authentication. Supports both automatic creation of the app registration in your Entra ID tenant and manual entry of Application and Directory IDs.

Additional setup guides will be added in future releases.

Reason Code Support for Adjust Quantity and Unplanned Count

Reason Code collection is now configurable for both Adjust Quantity and Unplanned Count, enabling full traceability on inventory adjustments.

Each function includes a new setting in Mobile WMS Setup with three options: Disabled, Optional, or Mandatory.

• Adjust Quantity — The previously always-on Reason Code step is now governed by the new configuration setting. New installations default to Disabled. Existing installations where Reason Codes are already configured are automatically set to Mandatory to preserve current behavior.

• Unplanned Count — Reason Code support is new for this function. It covers both positive and negative adjustments. The captured Reason Code flows through to Item Journal Line, Value Entry, and G/L Entry, providing a complete audit trail. Defaults to Disabled.

This functionality is particularly relevant for organizations in regulated industries such as food, pharmaceutical, and automotive, where compliance requires documented justification for all inventory corrections.

Item Reference Date Enforcement

Mobile WMS now enforces the Starting Date and Ending Date fields on Item Reference records across all scanning and printing workflows.

• Barcode scanning — All workflows, including receiving, picking, movement, and counting, now validate the date range on Item References. Barcodes linked to expired or not-yet-active Item References are rejected.

• Label printing — Labels will only include barcodes from valid, active Item References. If no valid reference exists, the system falls back to GTIN or Item No. Cloud Print and Report Print now share unified fallback and error handling logic.

This applies to organizations managing seasonal products, supplier transitions, or barcode changes due to rebranding, ensuring that warehouse operations always reference the correct, currently valid barcode.

License Plating — Optional "To LP" Step in Receive

A new location-specific setting allows the "To LP" step in the Receive process to be hidden while still permitting users to scan or create a License Plate when needed. This provides greater flexibility in tailoring receiving workflows per warehouse location.

Bug Fixes

• Pick with lot and serial tracking — Resolved an error ("Qty. (Base) must be equal to '1' in Warehouse Activity Line") that could occur when picking items with full lot-specific tracking and serial outbound tracking enabled. Warehouse activity lines are now split correctly after registration.

• Realtime Registration — Fixed a compatibility issue with app version 1.11.11 and later where Expiration Date handling could trigger an error during data registration.

Extensibility

• New event OnAfterCreateRegistrationFromLicensePlateContent — Enables adding custom values to registrations during License Plate content processing.

• New parameter _TempMobWmsRegistration on OnWhseInquiry_OnAddCommands — Supports pre-registrations lookup.
