How It Works
From AX/D365FO we send reference data out to the mobile device when a user is logging in. This is called "GetReferenceData". In these reference data we can activate a menu, but at the same time you need to specify the menu on the mobile device, so we have a match between the reference data and the application configuration.
The requirement from Mobile WMS is that the menu must be stated in the application configuration. We have made it easy for you to setup the sub menus groupings and add your new menus. When you make changes from AX/D365FO you can update your application configuration directly. The only missing step is to update the device with application configuration, which has to be done manually.
- Make changes to menus in from AX/D365FO D365FO client
- Export changes to your application configuration "tweak" file placed locally
- a tweak file is created
- Update MobiControl with your application configuration file
