When MobiControl asks you to install requests a plugin installation, follow this guide to fix the remote control plugin issue.
Step-by-step guide
- Close all sessions of your web browser.
- Uninstall "SOTI Remote Control Service" from your PC:
- To reinstall the plugin, start remote controlling a device and make sure to select the "Downloadable Plugin (Legacy)" method.
This will prompt you to download and install the plugin.
- During the installation, click "Advanced":
- Choose "Install for all users of this machine" and continue the installation as usual.
When the installation is done, you should be able to remote control devices again.

Apparently, every time whenever your server is patched/upgraded, a new remote control plugin may be needed, and the problem seems to come back. Just repeat the above procedure to get install the latest plugin properly installed, and everything should work fine again. |
