I want to unlock a device

Problem

My scanner is "locked," and I cannot access my device settings to change the WiFi network, for instance. 

Solution 1: Unlock the device directly

If you have the device in front of you, or if you are remote controlling the device, you can unlock the device from the "Start Mobile WMS" screen:

For Android devices:
Long press the back button. If you are using remote control, press the "page-up" key and click on "administrator." Use administrator password: 192837

For Windows devices:
Click the menu button and select administrator. Use administrator password: 192837


Solution 2: Unlock the device using MobiControl

You can also unlock the device directly from MobiControl. This can be used to unlock multiple devices at the same time.

Selec the device(s) you want unlocked, and send the "Enter Admin Mode" command. This will unlock the device(s) selected.

You can find the command by clicking on the three dots after having selected the device(s) in MobiControl and then searching for "Enter Admin Mode":


To return to User Mode, simply “long press” the back button in the MobiControl app and choose "User Mode" in the menu, or alternatively, reboot the device.
You can also send the "Enter User Mode" command from MobiControl.
