Change Menu Items

Available in Mobile WMS for Dynamics AX/365FO version 3.14 or newer


How to change menu items on a page to improve your daily routine operation.

Situation - Receive Lines

We want the device user to easily access the menu "Locate Item" during receipt of a purchase order. Having access to the menu "Locate Item" allows for a quick view into where items are actually stored in the warehouse and you can begin registering using this updated information.  

How it looks before we change

On the mobile device we see 4 menu items being promoted. They are marked by the red square on below image. 

Lets change the configuration

We navigate to Mobile WMS/Setup/Pages and find in this example the page "Receive Lines".


Marked in the red square is matching what we see on the mobile device. 

Lets move 3 of the existing menu items to the menu. This is simply done by unticking the promoted check box.

Then we want to add "Locate Item" and promote it. 

Below image shows the list of menu items available and the standard icon that helps to easy to identify the correct menu item.

After adding the menu item you can move up and down the menu items to arrange them. Lets move "Locate Item" to the top of the list, click save and the last thing needed is to login again on the mobile device to get the latest configuration changes. 


This is how it looks like from D365FO. 


From the mobile device we now have the menu item "Locate Item" placed for easy access.
