Checklist for Mobile WMS License Plating
1: Explainer Video and User Guide
Have you watched the Explainer video and reviewed the User Guide?
Do you have any initial questions?
2: Customer Expectations
How does the customer plan to use License Plating features?
What specific processes will be involved?
What types of items will be handled?
What License Plate structure is expected (single/mixed items, etc.)?
3: Prerequisites for License Plate Functionality
Are the prerequisites for Business Central understood and confirmed?
Are the prerequisites for Mobile devices understood and confirmed?
4: License Plate Data Structure
Remember: License Plating is not an end-to-end solution!
Ensure that physical License Plates in the warehouse are respected.
Advise against using standard Business Central journals to adjust Bin content if License Plates exist.
Are you aware of the risk of breaking the License Plate data structure?
5: Customizations (Limited)
Be aware that customizations are limited to allow Tasklet to adjust functionality easily.
Provide feedback to improve the product instead of customizing.
6: Customizations to Unplanned Move
Have you made any customizations to Unplanned Move?
If so, retain both old and new Unplanned Move features.
7: Printing – New License Plate Barcode Requirement
Do you have a working label print solution?
Be aware that new GS1-encoded (AI=98) License Plate Templates/Layouts will be activated for Cloud Print/Report Print.
The pinned value function in Receive requires the new License Plate barcode.
Use the "Mob License Plate label" report in the BC sandbox to print/preview.
8: GS1-Encoded Bin Labels
Are you using GS1-encoded Bin labels?
Mobile WMS previously used AI= '00' for Bin Code, but it has been removed and reserved for future SSCC support.
9: Activating the New Features
Login with a mobile device, that has the minimum required version installed.
Apply the provided "License Plate Key"
Activate the "Enable License Plating" field.
