Mobile WMS Licensing terms

This article will clarify the difference between licensing terms used with Mobile WMS: Mobile WMS licenses and Device-Only User licenses.

Mobile WMS license: is sold by Tasklet Factory and allows one scanner per license to have Mobile WMS and be enrolled on the Tasklet Factory-hosted MobiControl servers.

Tasklet deploys this license type to devices once they have been enrolled on MobiControl.

Unlicensed scanners will automatically be removed from MobiControl two weeks after the Mobile WMS license is removed.

Device-Only User license: A BC/NAV user license is one of several license types needed to allow the user to log into the ERP system and, therefore, is also required to log into Mobile WMS.

Tasklet Factory sells this license for BC On-Prem and NAV, but we have no control over them otherwise. Any issues regarding BC/NAV licensing must be raised with Microsoft Support.

A note on BC user licenses and Mobile WMS: only Essentials, Premium, and Device-only user licenses will work to allow users to log in through Mobile WMS, and Essentials licensed users can not use the Production module in Mobile WMS.
