  • SaaS PTE  (PTE license range)
    • Use the file named "Tasklet Factory_Mobile WMS, Pack & Ship, ShipIT 365 Connector(PTE)_x.xx.xxx.xxx.app

Set up the "Pack & Ship – ShipIT 365 Connector" in Business Central

Setting up the master data for the core "Pack & Ship" extension is described in detail the "Pack & Ship – Partner Guide".
In addition, these following master data are created automatically during installation of "Pack & Ship – ShipIT 365 Connector". If you need to recreate these additional master data, you can either do this manually or by reinstalling the "Pack & Ship – ShipIT 365 Connector" App.

Mobile WMS Package Types

  • Data is synchronized on install from table "IDYS Package Type" to "Mobile WMS Package Types"
  • Can be manually synchronized from page "Mobile WMS Package Types" at any time
  • Only packages types associated to "ShipIT 365" will be replaced (Shipping Provider ID = 'SHIPIT365')

Mobile WMS Package Setup

  • When Package Types is synchronized into the "Mobile WMS Package Types" they become available to be used in the Mobile WMS Package Setup
  • The Mobile WMS Package Setup determines which package types is available for each Shipping Agent
  • Only when a Package Type is associated to a Shipping Agent they will be available at the mobile device (see below)
  • Mobile WMS Package Setup must be created manually when new Packages Types have been synchronized

Mobile WMS Packing Stations

  • No packing stations are automatically synchronized during install
  • Can be manually synchronized from page "Mobile WMS Packing Stations" at any time
  • If no packing stations are created/synchronized the Transsmart printer associated to the default ShipIT365 user will be used
  • Packing Stations is only required for "ShipIT365 Connector" if you wish to print to different printers connected to Transsmart. In this case, the selected packing station will redirect to the associated Transsmart user/printer.
    • Done by overwriting the value in field "User Name (External)" from table "Packing Station" to same field in the "ShipIT User Setup" table.

Note: If Packing stations are used, make sure alle Mobile WMS users are also created in the ShipIT User table, if not the default ShipIT user will be used and printer selection will not work.

Mobile Groups and Mobile Menu Options

  • No changes are needed to Mobile Group or Mobile Menu Option setup.

The connector changes and extends the behavior of existing menu options, but do not introduce new ones.

Mobile WMS Setup

Default value for "Transport Order Booking Action" is "Book and print".

If you need to change this behavior you can select different Booking Actions as shown below.

  • Book and print = After Transport Order is created, call ShipIT 365 function "Book and print"
  • Book = After Transport Order is created, call ShipIT 365 function only "Book"
  • None = After Transport Order is created, do not call any additional ShipIT 365 functions.

Functional changes

When synchronized Package Types are set up in "Mobile WMS Package Setup" (see above) they become available to be selected from the 'Packing' page at the mobile device:

Other existing Package Types are still available and can be used as before (including package types created for internal logistics or synchronized from other 3rd party connector apps). Only Package Types from the same Shipping Agent can be used for the same shipment.

When the Warehouse Shipment is posted a new "Transport Order" is automatically created, booked, and printed in the ShipIT 365 App when:

  • A Package Type associated to ShipIT 365 is assigned to a License Plate in the Packing process
  • The Warehouse Shipment includes unhandled License Plates (still not transferred to ShipIT 365)

Error handling
Booking and printing the Transport Order may fail in ShipIT 365 when i.e. rates for specific customers are missing. Generally, this is something to be solved in the ShipIT 365 setup.
Errors will prevent the Warehouse Shipment from being posted as well.

When setup issues have been solved, posting can be restarted from Mobile Device and a new Transport Order is created or you must manually open the Transport Order in Business Central and retry Book and Print.
