User Rights

Available in Mobile WMS for Dynamics AX/365FO

From standard Dynamics AX/365FO you setup your user groups and these are the base for setting up the user rights in Mobile WMS.

You can configure your users access rights by

• Menu setup
• Warehouse setup

If you need to segregate user rights even further, then you can do this from the Document Types.

Menu Setup by User Group

When you want to assign user rights with menu's, you navigate to Mobile WMS / Setup / Menu.

In the left part of the above screenshot you find your user groups. If you dont have any you need to create at least one. Navigate to System Administration / Users / User Groups and create one. Make sure that the user is assigned to this user group.

The graphical menu presentation helps you to smoothly setup your menu's for that selected user group. You can easily see how the menu's will be placed on the scanner device. 

Add Menu's

To add menu's from the available menu items, you simply dobbelt click on the menu you want. 

Once the menu is added, you can arrange it to the right place hereafter. 

Remove Menu's

When you want to remove a menu you simply dobbelt click on the menu and it is removed. 

Rearrange Menu's

To rearrange menu's you simply click on the menu you want to move and click on which menu you want to place it before. 

1.  Click on menu to move
2. Click on the menu you want to place it in front of

Example: You want to move the RegisterBarcode menu to the first place on the screen. 

Click on RegisterBarcode and then subsequently click on the Receive menu to place it before that. 

Warehouse by User Group

When you want to assign user rights with warehouses, you navigate to Mobile WMS / Setup / Warehouse Setup.

First you select the user group and then you choose the tab 'Warehouses' to assign at least one warehouse. You can find more details on the 'Default warehouse' here.

When you reduce the number of warehouses you also makes it more simpler to use the scanning devices and less error prone.
