Count Order Lines
Applies to Mobile WMS
Registering and update counting order line from the scanner device.
When the order lines have been downloaded to the scanner device the order lines can be registered while the mobile device is disconnected from the server. An example of this is if the mobile device is used in an area without a wireless network coverage (e.g. inside a container).
This screen shows the order lines for the selected order.
The main work process is:
- Scan one of the items to count
- The corresponding order line is selected
- Register values on the order line
- Location
- Batch number
- Serial number
- Quantity
Selecting an order line
The fastest and most reliable way to select an order line is to scan the barcode of an item. If the barcode is not available, you can move to the wanted line using the up/down arrows on the keyboard of the mobile device. When the line is highlighted you presses the selected order line to start the registration process.
Entering location
If the storage dimension for the item on the order line is active in either <Location> then the mobile device will ask you to enter this information.
You must scan / enter the value before you can proceed.
If you cannot scan a barcode to register the value it is possible to click the barcode symbol to enter the value manually.
In the standard configuration the mobile device will compare the registered location with the value suggested on the order line. If another value is entered the mobile device will display a warning message to you before the new value is used (this behavior can be changed between <None>, <Warn>, <Block>). See section XX9.10 for further in-depth information.
Registering the quantity
When the necessary information has been registered for the order line you are asked to enter the quantity.
In the standard configuration the mobile device will not suggest the quantity registered in Dynamics AX/365FO. This can be changed if required.
Registering batch numbers
If the journal has been created with a value in the <Batch number> column then the mobile device will ask you to enter a batch number. You can either scan or manually register the batch number.
If the counting journal has been created without a value in the <Batch number> column then the mobile device will only ask for the quantity. This means that the creator of the journal can determine if the batch numbers should be validated during counting or not.
Register serial numbers
If the journal has been created with a value in the <Serial number> column then the mobile device will ask you to enter a serial number. You can either scan or manually register the serial number.
If the counting journal has been created without a value in the “Serial number” column then the mobile device will only ask for the quantity. This means that the creator of the journal can determine if the serial numbers should be validated during counting or not.
You can either scan or manually register the serial number. When serial numbers are registered you are not allowed to enter a quantity since a serial number is equal to a quantity of one. When a serial number is registered the quantity is automatically incremented by one.
