In Mobile WMS you can move an item on an ad-hoc basis. You dont need to preplan the transfer process. In some cases you want to move more than one item, then you can benefit from using the cart unplanned move feature.
We have made it easy to setup and easy to get an overview of the items you have selected.
Usecases
- After receipt items into inbound dock locations, you want to pick up items and move them to the warehouse.
- Daily maintenance in the warehouse, where you move multiple items to empty location,
- Rearranging items for seasonal adjustment to optimize picking locations etz.
How it works
From the main menu you click on Unplanned Cart Move, this opens the page listing available carts in the warehouse. On each cart you get a brief overview of the content in both the item number and by a collage of item images.

How to set it up
Create New Cart
When you need to create a new cart, then this is done from the mobile device. You can use a number series to set the cart ID or manually do it. Next and last step is to allocate a location to the cart.
Now you have a cart in a location ready to be used on the mobile device.

Setup parameter
You can configure your reservation level by
- User
- Device
- Both
Reservation level acually means that how the cart is controlled on Mobile WMS.
- User level, means that the cart is locked by user.
- Device level, means that the cart is locked by device.
- Both, means that the cart is locked by both user and the device combined.
Note
On each cart you have a note to describe more about what the purpose of the cart is.
