Troubleshooting
Nothing gets printed (not even a blank page / label)
1 Verify PrintNode service
If not even an empty piece of paper or label is printed, you will need to verify your PrintNode settings.
Please log into https://printnode.com/ and use the Print Something function to print a PDF file on the printer.
Please see https://www.printnode.com/docs/troubleshooting if this doesn't work.
2 Check the PrintNode log (PrintNode service works but printing from BC doesn't)
Please log into https://printnode.com/ and see if printing from BC results in a log entry.
If a log entry is created, then check the error message to solve the issue.
3 Verify PrintNode setup in Mobile WMS (PrintNode service works but printing from BC doesn't)
Please ensure all the steps in the Set up Tasklet PrintNode are completed.
Opening the printer settings in BC should open the Tasklet PrintNode Printer Settings window.
Doing a lookup in the Paper Size field should show a list of available paper sizes for the printer. Otherwise delete and create the printer again.
If you are unable to lookup in the Paper Size field, then please ensure the API key is correct.
If looking up the available paper sizes isn't possible, then please create a service ticket for Tasklet.
Empty labels are printed
Print a test page from either Windows or the printer driver
If test pages doesn't work, you should start by ensuring the paper type and printer head is configured correctly.
For Zebra printers, it is very important the ribbon and media (Direct Thermal Media or Thermal Transfer Media) are configured correctly.
You will need to contact your supplier if you can't get test prints to work.
If test prints works, but printing from BC results in blank labels: Please continue to

If this still doesn't work as expected you can now reproduce the problem without BC and Mobile WMS which makes the troubleshooting easier. We suggest these next steps:
Reset the printer driver settings. Please consult your printer manufacture for further instructions.
Do a factory reset of the printer to get rid of non-standard hidden settings before you configure it as a new printer. Please consult your printer manufacture for further instructions.
Change the printer driver. Many printer manufactures have different drivers available for their printers. For Zebra printers we have seen a customer switching from EPL to ZPL solved their problem.
Contact your printer supplier to get assistance. They might have recommendations for using their printer with PrintNode.
Contact PrintNode at https://www.printnode.com/contact and request assistance to print the PDF.
Please note: If the printer is used by other systems, you should ensure you are able to restore the current settings before changing it.

Printing via a Windows driver (e.g. using a PrintNode connector) can overwrite the printer's own settings. You must therefore ensure the settings in the printer and Windows printer driver are identical.
