Register Consumption and Output for Assembly Order
...
It is important to understand that assembly differ differs from other function in thatbecause they involve both output and consumption when posting.
The assembly order header behaves similarly to an output journal line, and the assembly order lines behave similarly to consumption journal lines.
That functions, in that it displays both Output- and Consumption- lines together.
This is why the Assembly Order Lines page shows:
- The first line is the Output Item (The "Assembly Header") is the first line. The
- Indented lines are Consumption Lines ("Assembly Lines) as indented lines (different to "Production")")
Mobile vs. Assembly in Business Central web client
- Assembly order header behaves like an "Output journal line"
- Assembly order lines behave like "Consumption journal lines"
Consumption lines that are excluded:
- Text lines
- Resource Lines are also excluded, but posted automatically based on the "Qty. to Assemble."
...
The layout of the Assembly Order Lines page will be slightly different, whether the Location is set up for "Bin Mandatory" or not:
Layout with "Bin Mandatory"
This screenshot above shows Output Line and Consumptions Lines for assembly Order No. “A00010”.
Layout without "Bin Mandatory"
This screenshot above shows Output Line and Consumptions Lines for assembly Order No. “A00014”.
