Create Document Types

Standard document types are created automatically during the installation.

This function recreates them if any of them are missing.

Selected tables are enabled for retention and some suggested retention policies are created during the installation.

General

Sort Order Pick 

This setting controls the sort order of pick orders lines:

• There are 3 options: Worksheet, Item or Bin
If Worksheet is selected the order lines are sorted in the sequence defined when the order was created. A typical usage of this is to sort the lines according to Bin Ranking.
• • Worksheet: The "Sorting Method" field on Warehouse Pick controls the sorting:
    • Item
    • Document
    • Shelf or Bin
    • Due DateShip-To
    • Bin Ranking
    • Action Type
  • Item: Alphabetical sorting by Item No.
  • Bin: Alphabetical sorting by Bin Code

Sort Order Put-away 

Same as above.

Use Base Unit of Measure

If enabled, quantities are entered in the Base unit of measure.

• • Otherwise quantities are entered in the Unit of measure, on the order lines.
  • Set up "Item Cross References" to map barcodes to Units. This makes the mobile device automatically convert to the correct Base quantity.
  • Unplanned functions will ask for the Unit when needed.

Enable Tote Picking

• If this check mark is set you will be able to pick multiple orders for multiple customers at the same time by scanning boxes to connect with the orders/customers.

Tote per

This setting determines how the orders are connected with boxes. There are 3 options:

• Destination No.
  • Tote per customer
• Source No.
  • Tote per order
• Whse. Document No.
  • Tote per shipment

Skip Collect Delivery Note

Default a step to collect Delivery Note No. is displayed during posting of a Receive order. Enable this setting to hide this collection step.

Use Mobile TimeZone when Posting

Controls how the current Work Date, Posting Date and Time should be determined.

• Enabled: Date and Time will be read from the mobile device.
• Disabled: Date and Time will come from the service tier or cloud hosting platform.

To ensure the processed documents are posted with the current Date and Time, you might need to enable this setting.

For example: The warehouse worker is located in one TimeZone and the system is hosted in another, you would want to use the device Time.

Post breakbulk lines automatically

Set up as enabled to hide the breakbulk element at the mobile device, and post breakbulk lines automatically. Breakbulk can only be posted automatically when no tracking is required to be able to post the Activity line.

Allow Blank Variant Code

Allows 'blank' value when collecting Variant Code from steps.

If Items with Variant Codes can be on inventory with 'blank' Variant Code, you should enable this setting.

• Enabled

  • Blank variant code is displayed and can be selected

• Disabled

  • Blank variant code is not displayed

Note: This setup field only affects what can be selected for new values. Existing inventory on hand with blank Variant Code will always show up on i.e., Locate Item regardless of this setting. 

Package No. implementation

(Note: This setup field is visible only when "Feature Update: Use tracking by package number in reservation and tracking system" are enabled in Dynamics 365 Business Central / Feature Management).

Microsoft introduced Package No. support for a third dimension for item tracking that you can use as is to keep track of simple WMS packages or pallets, or which you can use as a foundation for advanced vertical solutions. One might say the new “Package No.” dimension could as well have been named “Dimension 1” in the standard application, since there is no functionality attached and the dimension is very likely to be renamed by customers and partners for entirely different purposes.

From a Mobile WMS standpoint, we won’t know how partners implemented such additional functionality in their verticals and how the dimension is being used for other purposes. Therefore, we do include a standard implementation for Package Numbers in Mobile WMS, but disabled out-of-the-box.

This standard implementation for Package Number is using the new dimension exactly as it is implemented in Business Central with no extra functionality included. You may enable this standard implementation, or create your own custom implementation for Package No. in Mobile WMS.

• "None/Customization": Package Numbers in Mobile WMS are disabled or implemented in your own custom solution.
• "Standard Mobile WMS": The out-of-the-box implementation is enabled. Note: Requires Android App 1.8.0 (or newer)

Count

Sort Order Count

This setting controls the sort order of Count orders:

• There are 3 options: Worksheet, Item and Bin
• If Worksheet is selected the order lines are sorted in the sequence defined when the order was created. A typical usage of this is to sort the lines according to Bin Ranking

Unplanned Count Warning

This flag controls if the user should be warned when the unplanned count feature is used.

• If the warning is enabled the user will get a warning if the physical quantity exceeds the tolerance levels defined below

Count Warning Tolerance %

• If the physical quantity exceeds this tolerance level the user will get a warning on the mobile device.

Count Warning Min. Tolerance

The minimum tolerance prevents warning messages on items with a large difference in percentages, but only a small numerical difference.

• The difference must exceed this value before the warning is generated.

Skip Whse. Unpl. Count Item Journal Post

If – and only if - the location uses "Directed Put-away and Pick", this flag makes it possible post the warehouse entries generated by the unplanned count and adjust quantity, without posting item journal.

• Periodically "Calculate Whse. Adjustment" from an Item Journal must be executed and posted.

Move

Sort Order Movement

This setting controls the sort order of Movement orders:

• There are 3 options: Worksheet, Item and Bin
• If Worksheet is selected the order lines are sorted in the sequence defined when the order was created. A typical usage of this is to sort the lines according to Bin Ranking

Block negative adjustment if reservation exists

Block negative adjustment if Reservation exists (standard Business Central behaviour is a warning if Reservation Entries exists).

Show available quantity on Unplanned Move.

Makes the first "Step" an information step that shows the Quantity available to move.

• Enabling this view also moves the "From Bin" -field from Steps to the Header at mobile device. Mobile Users have to login again for changes to take effect

Pack & Ship

Enable Pack & Ship

Specifies if the Pack & Ship functionality is enabled.

License Plate Number Series (Optional)

The number series to be used for automatically assigning new unique License Plate numbers

If the number series is blank, the user will be asked to scan a new License Plate number, when either 'Add New License Plate', 'Combine all Contents to new', or Move all License Plates to new' functions are used

Weight Unit

Specifies the Weight Unit of Measure used in help messages for Pack & Ship steps on the mobile device

Dimension Unit

Specifies the Dimension Unit of Measure used in help messages for Pack & Ship steps on the mobile device.

Collect Staging Hint on Pick

If enabled, the user will be asked for "Staging hint" when posting a Pick for Whse. Shipments

Collect Packing Station on Pick

If enabled, the user will be asked for "Packing Station" when posting a Pick for Whse. Shipments
