Description

The item label is typically used in the receiving scenario where an item can arrive without a label.

It will contain standard information from the item card in Business Central and new information entered directly on the device like

  • Lot number / Serial number / Package number and Expiration date

  • Quantity

Receive by Printing and Scanning

Tip

We highly recommend printing new Item Labels when you receive items.
You will get the most out of Mobile WMS because all processes can now be scanned using these labels.

The process is:

  1. Print the label from Receipt-lines

  2. Scan the label to perform the receipt
This method ensures your registrations and your labels match exactly

Using Encoded Barcodes

  • The data is also encoded in a GS1 DataMatrix (2D) barcode so that the mobile app can read all values in one single scan, speeding up receipt significantly

  • See Register with Encoded Barcode (GS1)
