Set up and configure a new Zebra printer to be used with with Cloud Print Service |
Prerequisites
- The printer is powered onpart number is included on Supported printers
- The printer Loaded with Zebra branded label media. Preferably black mark media
- The printer is powered on
Step 1:
Set up NetworkingThe following guides will guide you through connecting the printer to a network:
Wired Printer Guide or Wireless Printer guide
If the printer is intended to be used with Bluetooth instead follow this guide:
Bluetooth Printer SetupCheck part number of printer
Find the part number underneath the printer. Look for PCC or Part Number.
Find your printer on Supported Printers to verify what capabilities your printer have.

Step 2: Set
print mode to ZPLThe printer must be set to use "ZPL" language
Go to devices Language in the Zebra Print utility app

Set printer to XML and ZPL under Set Device Language.

Step 3: Set Printer media settings
The printer must be set to use the relevant media, either Black mark/"Bar" or "Gap".
In the Zebra Print utility app go to media settings:

To modify the settings tap on Media Settings

Set the width and length of the label and make sure it is set to label/tag

Set the Media Type to what matches the media being used and set Media Handling to tear off

after this hit apply and the printer will then restart.
Step 4: Further adjustment
Horizontal alignment
Vertical alignment
Print QualityIf there is any issues with the print quality then you can adjust the speed if the print is streaky and darkness if the print is faded.
Both Speed and Darkness can be set trough the Zebra Print utility app, go to "Print Quality".

From here you can either choose to manually adjust or use the apps assistant.

In manual adjust you can set the values yourself and find the right settings with the print sample label.

For printers with Wi-Fi we recommend that. Industrial printers, we recommend using the wired LAN connection.

Step 3: Configure ERP
Once the printer is set up, it is time to update the the ERP System, you will do this following the guides below:

Verify your setup by printing a couple of labels from the mobile device connected to the ERP System.
