RS6100

The Bluetooth ringscanner is unfortunately not supported by Zebra's pairing software.
In order to make the RS5100 scanner ringscanner pair with a Zebra device, the following procedure needs to be done, which makes it appear as an RS6000.

1. Perform Clean Boot

  1. Clean boot the device by pressing and holding the Restore Key until the white light appears.
  2. Release the Restore Key, and immediately press it again.
  3. Continue to hold the key down until two beeps indicating a clean boot are heard, and the scanner boot beep sequence is heard.
This sets the RS5100 ringscanner back to it's its factory configuration.

2. Configure the Scanner (only if necessary)

If you are experiencing connectivity issues with your RS5100/RS6100 ringscanner then please attempt the setting below.

After resettings resetting the scanner. Scan the following barcode, to make the RS5100/RS6100 mimic an RS6000.

3. Update the build version on your mobile/tablet device

If you are still experiencing an issue then please update the build version on your mobile/tablet device (Make sure to check the android version on your device).
