In 99.9 % of all cases the terminals running the Mobile WMS app is on a wireless Wireless network (WIFI or Mobile network like 4G/LTE).

As we are not transferring big amounts of data between the Mobile Device and the ERP system, connectivity is more important than throughput of data.

We advise that you only use the 2.4 GHz wireless band as this gives a more stable connection between the mobile device and the ERP system. The range (coverage) of 2.4 Ghz GHz is also better that than 5 GHz which should require less access points in the warehouse.

The only other requirement is that the devices can connect to the endpoint of the ERP system from the network they are on. This typically requires that one or more ports are opened on in the firewall of the server that are is hosting the web service, such that traffic can flow between the server and the mobile devices runnning Mobile WMS.
