• An alternative to Collector Step Quantity or Collector Step Decimal which are typically used

• for collecting quantity

Flow

QuantityByScan targets the use case where the user is asked to scan each item to register/verify the quantity.

• It simply increments the quantity by 1 when an item is scanned and, when applied, accepted by the validation restrictions imposed.
• The step can be configured to only accept a specific list of values, e.g. serial numbers.

Notes

• Not commonly used as ou can achieve the functionality with Registering Quantity By Scan
• Do not confuse with Registering Quantity By Scan which allows for a barcode to represent a certain quantity when scanned
