Clock In, Time and Attendance
When you use manufacturing and execution from the mobile device you automatically use clock-in and clock-out.
- This is a info step when you clock in/out, and it can display if you have active jobs.
Count Order Handler
When you check mark these two fields, there will be included extra information in the XML sent to the mobile device.
- Enable Barcode Quantity - when set to "Yes" the barcode and matching quantity is used on the mobile device.
- Enable Register Quantity By Scan - set to "yes" changes the behavior on the mobile device to scan once = quantity, scan twice = 2 x quantity.
Material Consumption, Manufacturing Execution
When you use manufacturing execution from the mobile device, you can start jobs and register output of the operations. Sometimes it occurs that an operation uses addition materials and it is relevant to be able to register this material consumption from the mobile device.
To begin the registration of additional materials you click the menu "Material consumption". This opens a dialogue to register the material. Once registration is completed the registration is sent to AX/FO and a picking list is created. Based on the parameter setup this journal will be posted or not.
Online Validator
In Mobile WMS parameters for picking you can setup validation for:
- Location
- Batch Number
- Serial Number
- Quantity
This online validation check can be modified for the following subjects:
Batch number
When online validation is set to yes, Mobile WMS makes an online validation check on the existence of the scanned batch number. But you can also use the validation to include the quantity of the batch number per location.
Set the "Update quantity" parameter to yes.
- This returns the quantity of the batch on the location to the mobile device.
Then you can choose between three settings to set the behavior on the mobile device.
- Allow edit - The quantity is displayed and you can edit it.
- View only - The quantity is displayed and not possibility to change it.
- Apply directly - The quantity is applied to the registration step directly and completed.
If the quantity of the scanned batch number is greater than the picked quantity, then the quantity is automatically reduced to the remaining quantity.
Pick Order Handler

Production Orders
From the mobile device you can RAF (report as finished) on a production order. When stepping into the work flow you need to register different but of course relevant details about that product. The last step is more related to the production order. You can actually end a production order from the mobile device.
If you select the step below you have to decide to end or not end the production order.
Quarantine Orders
From the mobile device you can RAF (report as finished) on a quarantine order. When stepping into the work flow you need to register different but of course relevant details about that product. The first step is for information only and therefore can be changed to no show if it is not needed.
Receive Order Handler
Talking about receiving items, Mobile WMS can handle loads of different orders. The parameters need to be enabled per document type.
Use Barcode Quantity
When you check mark these two fields, there will be included extra information in the XML sent to the mobile device.
- Enable Barcode Quantity - when set to "Yes" the barcode and matching quantity is used on the mobile device.
- Enable Register Quantity By Scan - set to "yes" changes the behavior on the mobile device to scan once = quantity, scan twice = 2 x quantity.
Prompt for Packing Slip
If you want to optimize your receipt process, you can automatic post the product receipt without prompting for it. In that case we use a prefix.
Register Barcode
In AX/D365FO you can create a barcode. When doing this you need to specify quite a lot of information related to the barcode. We also support creating a barcode from the mobile device. When the barcodes, you are going to register from the mobile device, are always the same, you can skip some of the steps during registration.
For every barcode you want to register from the mobile device, e.g.
- the barcode unit is always the same as inventory unit
- quantity is 1
You can skip these steps by setting the below values to "No" for each of the relevant step. That means you can make registering barcodes faster and more efficient.
The step "Show Info" is an additional step that if set to "Yes", will make the introduction step. You can see actual barcodes and also an image of the product.
